Does anybody know the whereabouts of the records or archives for the operation of Thames locks near Henly for the 1830s and 1840s? Did the Thames Concervancy take over these records when it was established in 1857 or did the City of London retain them? I have a father and a son who were successively the pound keeper at Rememham (Caleb and Joseph GOULD). I wondered if any official records were available as a source of additional information about both their employment and their residence. Any information or suggestions will be most welcome.
