Some of them are much more informative than CofE registers, eg Oldbury Wesleyan Methodist includes parents of those buried, even if elderly adults! Oldbury CE baptisms have been transcribed and the transcripts are available in the Genealogical sections of the larger public libraries (e.g. I found a transcript in Bristol) But they are not in the IGI MY White and Turner ancesors were canal workers based in Oldbury in the late 18th/early 19th Centuries. Any coonections out there?
