Lin, What other info do you have on this individual ? Does it give this same place on his birth certificate ? If you picked up this place of birth from the 1881 CD's it might be a good idea to look at the film as well. I would think that a place called Canal Bridge would be unlikely, but I may be wrong. There are lots of transcription errors on those CD's. Have you got the same place in any other census's. ?
