Hi Eric, I am afraid I have nothing to offer on Heeds or Burgess, but I am interested in MILLWARD. I am also researching MILLWARD in Staffordshire, but without much success. According to our Family Bible Robert MILLWARD was born at Worcester in 1826. He married in 1852 in Wolverhampton to one Mary Ann OWEN, who was born in Coventry, but the year before her marriage could be found living in Tipton with her grandmother, Nancy BRIDGES. On their marriage certificate both Robert and his father, John's occupations were given was Watermen. >From there Robert and Mary Ann moved around the area until they came to Birmingham and settled there. At some point Robert gave up the boatman's life and worked on the railway before becoming a drayman in Birmingham. That is the only information I have and for years I have been trying to progress further than this point but without any success. I have not managed to track down either Robert or John before the marriage in 1852. They were not even on the census of Wolverhampton in 1851.
