Hi Tony I'm looking for PARKER's, my wife's family. I know that Samuel Parker came up from Lincolnshire sometime between him marrying Maria Barton in May 1849 at Spalding, Lincs, and the birth of their first child in Wakefield in May 1850. I have Samuel on the 1851 census but after that he just isn't at home but his wife is not a widow. He must have come home sometime as they had kids in 1850, 1852, 1854, 1856, 1858, 1860, and 1862. His occupation on the baptisms runs through waterman, canalman, and mariner. He died in 1878. The main problem is that on the 1851 census he claimed to be born in Boston, Lincs, but I have checked all the parish registers and can't find his baptism. I'm hoping that if I can find him on another census he may be more specific.
