All of the following are recorded as being on canal boats: John BARRATT married Ann BEALE 28.12.1824 Ansty, Warwickshire. Their children, all Barratts, christened at Hillmorton: WILLIAM 4.4.1847, JOHN 10.9.1848, FREDERICK 1.1.1851, ALFRED JOHN, 5.1.1852 and THOMAS ELI, 6.2.1856. Also ELI B BARRATT 1860, Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, & ANN S BARRATT, b1861, Burslem again. ALFRED JOHN BARRATT above married ELIZA WILLIAMS who was born 31.10.1856 in Ebenezer Row, West Bromwich.
