I am new to the list, so hello to you canal folks ! Does anyone know if I am likely to be able to obtain any information, or better still a picture of 'Browns Field Wharf' on the Rochdale canal in Manchester. My GGG-Grandfather, William Henry BROWNE ran a coal business there around 1834 and I would like to find out more about him. Any pointers gratefully received. Cheers, Geoff Browne.
