    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Kruse Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/7aB.2ACEAE/2266.1.2 Message Board Post: It didn't let me finish. I am afraid I found no letters in the family things left. I was told there were letters but I guess no one kept them. My Aunt did say that her Uncle she thought was in Midnden or Minden Canada. I want to thank you for helping me. I have tried and tried to research Canada from the US to no avail until tonight. I feel I am making head way. Thank You,

    3. Hello When you mention your Aunt talked of Minden in Canada, I wonder if she meant Lynden, a village within Beverley Township, Wentworth County, Ontario? In the 1911 Census there is a Peter Crouse in Lynden born 1856, in the home of his brother John born 1866, both Widowers of German origin but with Canadian citzenship. John, a Farmer, has a son Ralph B born 1894 and two daughters, Lena V born 1899 and Francis M born 1904. I realise that this conflicts with your information about John's birth and death - if you are sure about that, then the Crouse brothers above are not relevant to you. I must say, though, that I could not see your John Kruse in the 1900 Census of Nebraska. Good luck with your search Dick Chandler in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada
