His son, Henry Robert Lindsay, was my grandfather. My understanding from my uncle's research is that Alfred was born Jan. 7, 1882 in Quebec. Peter Lindsay and Helen Martin were his parents. Peter was born in Canada and married in Quebec about 1877 and died in Mass. on May 21, 1925. Alfred died Feb. 20, 1923 also in Mass. Newspaper stories about Alfred's son (whose name I believe was Alfred or Leroy) referred to the family as French Canadian. They were living in New York at the time of the news stories (unfortunately, my great uncle committed a double homicide and was electrocuted at Sing Sing in the 1930s so he was in the news).
