I am so lost on my great grandfather Henry George Thompson (b. 17 Feb 1860). According to my grandmother, he stowed away on ship from England when he was about 12. According to his death certificate, he was born in London, England. His parents were Robert and Anna (Root) Thompson, both born in London England. Apparently, he was found on the ship and sent to a Canadian Catholic School for Boys. Is there any place to search for these types of school and if my great grandfather was ever enrolled in them?
