My mother's maiden name is Middleditch and we are connected to the Ranns family through Mary Alice Annie Ranns. She married Chester Samuel Middleditch on June 28, 1921 in Esquimalt, British Columbia, Canada, a suburb of Victoria. They had 4 children: Doreen Ethel, Roy Samuel, Joyce Mary, and William. Mary Alice died on March 16, 1945 in Vancouver due to being precribed incorrect medication for varicose veins.
