    1. Alphonse & Celestine Boudreau - can not trace them
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: BOUDREAU, BOUDREAUX, ALLAIN Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/7aB.2ACEAE/2241 Message Board Post: The only Boudreaus we can trace are Alphonse (b. 1825) and his brother Celestine Boudreau (b. 1825). We know they must have had other names, however, we don't know if these are their given names, nicknames or their middle names. I think it would help greatly in the research of my Boudreau line if their other names were found....These Boudreau brothers first surface in St. Anne area around 1850. Alphonse married Ceclia Allain (b. abt. 1827....Allen), daughter of Michael Allain, in Will County, Illinois, on 19 October 1851 and Celestine married Sophie Deslauries dit Legault, (b. about 1827) on 31 August 1860 in KANKAKEE County. Alphonse and his family travelel to Dakota County, Nebraska, in 1868 and Celestine (Celectin) stayed in Illinois and settled in Iroquois County, Beaver Township. Alphonse and Celcia (Allain) Boudreau's four children were born in St. Anne, Illinois: Addeline, Alfred Alexandre, Charles Celestine and Angeline. Alphonse Boudreau's daughter Angeline Boudreau Waldman's daughter told the family that our line was from Acadia, however, no Boudreau researcher has made the connection. My father was told our line came from Quebec, but we cannot trace them to there either. We found papers that spelt our last name witn an "X".....years ago, but those papers are now gone. We thought, we would be able to trace our Boudreau line through Lou Boudreau, as we have been told (2x great) grandfathers of Lou and my father were brothers, again no researcher can make a connection. So it looks like Alphonse and Celestine Boudreau are orphans, our line appears to be untraceable. Maybe, some day a Boudreau cousin will read this query and find me, that may be my only hope of finding our Boudreau line. If any Boudreau researcher has any ideas of how we could find the Alphonse and Celestine line, I would love to hear them. We can use all the help we can get....Thank you!
