Jean-Baptiste Lebel and Émélie Ouellet) were married at Beauport, 19 Apr 1877. I have not been able to find the marriage record for Buphémie and Thomas Sr. Larbey is not a surname common in Québec. Initially I thought that it could have been Labbé but I have not found such connections with Labbé. Bouvie appears to be Bouvier. With regard to Étienne Ouellet dit Crochet I have not seen any such reference in the marriage repertory I have consulted. Similarly, Drouin's (1630 to 1765) does not associate the dit name of Crochet to Ouellet. However, in another publication, it is said that some Ouellet may be known as Crochet. In Drouin's work: no listing under Crochet. A crochet is a hook. A wild guess: dit names were often associated to geographical features. This Ouellet might have lived along a river that formed a hook (crochet) and thereby: Ouellet dit Crochet. I have some ancestry of Étienne but I believe that you may have it already. If not let me know. Jean-Marie Hull,Québec
