There is nothing to indicate when Angus McBrayne immigrated to Canada, so I checked the 1841 census for Scotland and only one came up. Unfortunately there are a number parishes that are missing, so there is always a chance the person you are looking for is in one of them. I did the search through Ancestry.com (which is the most complete) and the transcription of the surname came up McBragen.
