This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/7aB.2ACEAE/678 Message Board Post: I have an unusal problem. I'm tracing my family roots and I have recieved some papers from relatives(on my mother's side) that are written in German. They are apparently papers to do with my greatgrandfather and so on. My problem is two-fold. First I can't read German and secondly(and more trickily) they're written in what they call "old German". I was wondering if there would be anyone willing to translate them for me as I've had them for a time. My relations in Germany aren't interested at all in Geneology and so I've hit a dead end. I can scan the papers and send them if that is a help. Thankyou very much Debbie Pratt
