Eliza was born in 1837 in Ireland, and her parents were reported to be Andrew and Eliza (?) RITCHIE. This is from my sister's research and is not verified. In addition, almost nothing is known about Andrew and Eliza; e.g., b~1800, m~1830, d~1860 in SCOTLAND. William HANNAH and Eliza RITCHIE married in Barony Parish, Scotland, in 1855. In the summer of 1857, with two baby girls in tow, they migrated to Boston, MA. As far as I know, they did come directly to Boston, with no stop in Canada. William and Eliza had more children while living in Everett, MA. Their daughter, Elizabeth HANNAH (b4/1857) married William KERR in Malden, MA, in 1876. William KERR was from an extended KERR / HENDERSON family which migrated from County Sligo, Ireland, to Argenteuil County, Quebec Province, Canada, ~1824. I do not know if Andrew and Eliza RITCHIE had other children in Scotland (or Ireland?), so I don't know if they had any RITCHIE grandchildren born there in the 1850's. I have seen the RITCHIE surname mentioned for NB and NS, Canada, but the name does not seem to be mentioned very often.
