J' being the personal pronoun equating to I in English. I was very interested by you msg containing the 1881 Census data for Michel and Mathilda. I feel strongly that this is the right couple. But still cannot find a marriage record in Québec for them. COuld you go back to the internet site and find out in what Province, town or Census district they were located. St-Guillamette does not exist in Québec. Could that be St-Guillaume. THere might be a St-Guillemette in NEw Brunswick but I am not aware of it. I am puzzled by this case and will help to solve it. Another option would be that this couple was married in the USA and returned to Québec at the time of the 1881 Census. au revoir, Jean-Marie
