BORDER CROSSING RECORDS; {St.Albans or ?] [check with the Latter Day Saints Family History Centres - State or National Archive in Washington - should hold these records] There will be personal information about Elmer F Little. LETTER OF INTENT; CITIZENSHIP; Usually filed a few years after arrival in the U.S.A. Will have all personal information that was required at the time, date and place of birth,names of parents - place of birth of parents. occupation etc. Can be Obtained from the State Archive where application was made - or - from the National Archive in Washington D.C. MARRIAGE REGISTRATION: Elmer LITTLE Married Florence G. McALPINE - April 25, 1920. Where . Obtain the Marriage Registration /Certificate - Long form. from the State Archive - or Vital Stats Dept. This will have personal information about both parties - names, date and place of birth,religion, names and place of birth of parents - including the maiden names of mothers if known. BIRTH REGISTRATIONS: Birth Registrations/Certificates: Long Forms - for your grandparent - or their siblings - Will have personal information about the parent. place of birth , age etc. Obtain from Vital Stats . DEATH REGISTRATION: Death Registraiton of Elmer F. LITTLE; I am assuming that Elmer is now deceased. Obtain the Death Registration/Certificate - Long form - from Vital Stats - or the Funeral Home that handled the arrangements - They are the ones who usually take all of the personal information about the deceased - for the Death Registraiton/Certificate. Will usually hold copies in their archives. The Death Registraiton - is the least accurate of all of our regs/certificates - since much of the information depends on the Knowledge of the Informant. Some have much info - others - may just be basic, may also be slightly incorrect. But worthwhile. Will show date and place of birth, date and place of death. Names of parents - including maiden name of mother if known to informant - place of birth of parents - name of spouse - cause of death. Cemetery Funeral Home. Physician. etc. CENSUS. Have you searched: the U.S. Census: 1920 - 1930 ? Canada Census only Available to the year 1901 - 1906 for the Three Prairie Provinces.
