Mary Jane Edwards was born 1898 in Northumberland,England, her mother was Sarah Edwards who married a widower,Matthew Strong in 1900. We know that Mary Jane worked as a nanny or childrens nurse for a family that emmigrated to Canada and Mary Jane went with them. She married a man of Danish descent who had also emmigrated, his surname was Lauridsen. Mum has an address for them at Port Hammond,B.C. and she knows they had at least one child,a daughter who they possibly named Audrey after my mum.The daughters married name was Mikota and mum has an address for her as Port Coquitlam,B.C. Mums maiden name was Quenet and Mary Jane used to send parcels of things to them from Canada that were in short supply in England due to the War. As I said, bit of a long shot, but I would dearly love to be able to put my elderly mum in touch with any of her overseas 'lost' family. Thanks,Karen.
