Hello everyone: I am fairly new to family research I came across this site (I think from pure luck received at lucky hat . com) anyway, I am looking for military records or anything else I can find on my grandfather JOSEPHAT SAUCIER married to Emma Picard. On my Grandfather's tombstone in Scare-Coeur Catholic Cemetery in Alexandria, Glengarry County, Ontario, Canada it states that he served with the Eastern Ontario Regiment as Pte. (I assume as a Private). Would you have any other info as to where this Regiment was located, are they Loyalists, dates of enrollment, or perhaps to whom I could write to to get a copy of this military record, cost etc, any and all info regarding this Regiment would be greatly appreciated as I cannot find anything else regarding my grandfather. This is some of the info that I hope helps to direct you to any information whether it be birth, marriaged, death, land, census, ships records or anything else that helps to locate info on my grandfather Josephat or great-grandfather Napoleon Saucier. NOT SURE IF DELIE & ALINE ARE SAME PERSON--haven't been able to confirm this data. PLEASE SEND SOURCES FOR THESE RECORDS OR FOR THE DATA THAT YOU FIND. THANKS !!!!!!!!!
