Ellen was born in Ireland 1868, came to the US in 1882 (1930 census) In 1930 she was 62yrs old. A widow at the time with 3 daughters, Catherine born 1903, Margaret born 1905 and Helen (Nellie) born 1908. I know that there in a contection with the Civil War.
