I'm at a bit of a disadvantage as I don't know the name of the ship or the exact date he arrived in Canada. I know that he left from Belfast. He came to Canada in or around 1928. His plans were to come the Philadelphia. For some unknown reason he wasn't able to get arrive in the States. He had to sail first to Canada (family stories claim to Montreal). He then left for Philadelphia. I was able to access the ship documentations for my grandmother who emigrated in 1920. She arrived through Ellis Island. I found the information on ellisislandrecords.org using just her name. I was able to narrow it down with the town she registered as her residence. Is there a similar website in Canada for ship passengers? One where I can put in my grandfather's info and find out what ship he came in on and where he arrived? Any help would be appreciated! Robert~
