He was born 1844 at Port Hope, Ontario, died 1915 at Guelph. Married 1st: Ellen MCELLISTRUM Married 2nd: Ann Elizabeth WHITE. Eldest daughter Mary Ann SEARLE married Richard Stephen FORAN. Richard Foran's mother, Elizabeth FORAN, is listed as a witness to George Searle's marriage to Ann Elizabeth White 14 Jun 1885 Guelph, Wellington County, Ontario, Canada. Ann Elizabeth White may be a cousin of Elizabeth Foran (as her maiden name was White) and I think she may have been born in Weston Ontario as Ann Elizabeth was. But I have no proof of this yet. George was the son of Joseph SEARLE b: 1824 d: c1883 in Michigan, USA. Joseph married 1st: Mary Ann TRIM, likely at Port Hope. Children: George SEARLE 1844-1915 Henry William SEARLE 1845-1925 Joseph SEARLE 1846-1900 Samuel Trim SEARLE 1848-1879 Then Joseph married: Isabella MCCOWEN 29 Apr 1852 Hampton, Darlington Township, Durham County, Ontario, Canada One child: Mary Isabella SEARLE b: 16 Sep 1854 Maryborough, Ontario. She married Sidney RACHAR (b: 1854 d: 1891). Then Joseph married: Jane MCKEE 19 Dec 1866 Guelph, Wellington County, Ontario, Canada Children: 1. John W. SEARLE (b: 1867 Wellington County?, Ontario d: 1940 buried WILBER CEMETERY, Iosco County, Michigan. Spouse: Lucy) 2. Elizabeth S. SEARLE (b: 1874 Michigan, USA d: ? Spouse: FRANK STYLES (son JAMES THOMAS STYLES b: 13 May 1902 Tawas, Iosco, MI. d: 10 Jan 1966 Tawas, Iosco, MI, m: 07 Jan 1926 in East Tawas, Iosco, MI spouse: EMILY CLARA CAROLINE LANGE) 3. David G. SEARLE (b: Mar 1878 Lapeer County, Michigan, USA d: 13 Sep 1886 Wilber Township, Iosco County, Michigan, USA) According to his marriage to Jane McKee, Joseph Searle's parents' names are William Searle and Ann Hill and he was born in Cornwall.
