My Ponters started off in Bath Somerset England , went to Swansea Wales and ended up in Glasgow. The Ponters and Hendersons eventually marry into each other. Ponters- My grandmother Elizabeth Ponter 1895-1970 born Glasgow . Her parents-William Thomas Ponter 1862, born Wales, to 1899, and Elizabeth Miller, born Ireland - 1872-1917. His parents William Ponter- born 1836, Somerset- 1867 ( probably) and Fanny Morris, born 1839, Wales to 1901. His parents James Ponter born 1808 Bath, Somerset, to 1853, died in Wales, and Mary ?? 1808-1884. His parents James Ponter 1777, Bath to1836 Bath, and wife Sarah. Hendersons- My grandfather William Henderson Petrie, married to Elizabeth Ponter. His mother Mary Buchanan Henderson , born 1873, Bo'ness to 1937 ( Glasgow), married to John Petrie. her parents John Henderson, born Bo'ness, 1850-1896, and Mary Wallace , 1853-1913. His parents John Henderson , born Dunfermline 1829, to 1902, and Anne Foote 1826-1906. His parents John Henderson dates unknown and Margaret Smith 1806 Fife.
