I live in Texas and am trying to find my maternal gr gr grandafther, John T Greenwood; b abt 1821, Haldimand, Northumberland West, Ontario; d. aft 1905 Allegon, Michigan. Gr Gr Grandaddy John came to America, to build sawmills. He traveled around to different locations. He married Candace Showerman b. 1837 in Pennsylvania m abt 1858 d. 1905 in Allegon Michigan. They had two daughters and one son; Helen b. 1858; Francis E b 1867 and Mae b 1869 His father was John Boisvert, b. 1800 Quebec Canada. Now you know EVERYTHING I know :-( Would someone please help me "get started". I have Family Tree Maker 2005, Ancestry World Edition and the LDS Site.
