Hello Listers, I am trying to locate or should I say verify a family story. Charles Nisbett Frederick Armstrong, was married to Dame Nellie Melba. He was an engineer born Worthing UK January 1858. It is said he died September 1948, but I don't know where. The other is Charles Patullo b 1855 in Melbourne Victoria Australia. He moved to Queensland and was involved in Sugar Cane, and through this met Charles Armstrong. When Melba and Armstrong, divorced in 1900, it is thought that Armstrong went to Canada, and that Patullo went with him. He disappeared c1900 and no one knows what happened to him. A new Story has just come to light that the State Trustees or equivalent in Vancouver Island, contacted the wife in Qld c 1927, regarding a will. This again is heresay, I am wondering the best places for me to look to see if I can verify any of these stories. Can anyone give me suggestions please regards Beryl
