Depending on the reqirements at the time - and the knowledge of the informant - the Death Registrations [Long Form Death Certificate ] may actually show - where in Canada - they came from etc - perhaps even name their parents. Birth Registrations for their children - may show the actual place of birth of Charles & Philomene Have you searched Letter of Intent - Citizenship: Available from the State archive where application was made - or the National Archive - will show personal information - place of birth. U.S. Census - will probably only show - Canada as place of birth - but might be worth searching - to find when they entered the U.S.A. Military Records, Land Records - etc Family Photo's. Old letters etc ?? Perhaps also post to a message board - for the State/States - where the family had settled There may be persons who are family connected or know of the family history.
