After emigrating to the USA, where did the family (Delvina and either Coté or BÉdard settled down??? THe marriage records of these daughters and theirs sons: Napoleon, Rosario and Raymond should indicate where the couple (Delvina and Augustin) settled down. I do not have access to the marriage records in USA but they should reveal some meaningful info. Try to access them. Keep in touch, P.S. I will send you some Ouellettte ancestry soon. Jean-Marie

I suspect that she married Côté and Bédard in the USA? Is this possible? Although Augustin Bedard was born in Canada, the family could have emigrated to the USA before Augustin has reached marriage age. Her parents were likely: Alexis Ouellette and Vitaline Doucet married 18 Oct 1870, Wolfestown, parish St. Julien, Wolfe Co. Québec, Canada. I have more of the ancestry of Delvina if you do not have it already. Please advise. Jean-Marie Hull, Québec

Let's see what Dennis can find through the genealogy world. I wish that we knew the name of at least one parent of the children; I could do a search with the Québec official marriage registry for the period of 1925 to 1996. It looks as if most of the children would have married about 1960. Let me have a look; if most of the children have the same Darchy parents, we could that way identify the parents and the relationship among the children. It is marvelous of you to think of identifying the family and attempting to return them. Jean-Marie

In an earlier post I said that the Darchy surname could have been a corruption of the surname Haché. I checked the marriage repertoire for that area of the Cote-Nord, but did NOT find a family of that name there, which means they could have come from somewhere else, and just "settled" in that town. I did find two ACHEZ sisters married to two DUGUAY brothers who lived in that town. Both sisters, Marie & Elisabeth married in May of 1895 at Rivière-au-Tonnerre to Edouard and Joseph Duguay, respectively. Could it have been one of them who wrote the letter? I would be very interested to learn in what city/town Heather purchased the photos, as that would tell me something as well. Many of these families could have migrated to New England. There is also a Farcy family living there, but they were originally from the Magdalen Islands, but I doubt sincerely if it is this family, as I know practically every descendant from t! here. The letter definitely states her name as "Darchy", so I will take another look later on and see what I can find. Till later, Dennis
