I am not researching the Duke family, however I do find the following in my records: Charles Lahey of Pisarinco (St. John) and Miss Christianna Duke of Carleton married 4th Oct 1856. (I believe that Pisarinco is called the Lorneville area of Saint John.) My connection is through Lahey as my great great grandmother was Elizabeth Lahey from Truro, NS. She married Jarvis (Jabez) Sweet 2 Mar 1840 and later Walter Gladstone of Lancaster. Elizabeth was Charles Lahey's sister. Other possible siblings were William, James, Rebecca and George.
