Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/7aB.2ACEAE/950 Message Board Post: I'm looking for information about a man from Norway. His given name was Peder Olafsen Jacobsen and he was borned around 1925-1930. About 30-35 years ago he moved to USA. After some years in USA he moved to Canada. From that moment we can't find any information about this man. He might has changed his name, he might got married again and he might have some children. I don't know if he's still alive, but if he is, he would probably be around 75 years old at this time. I hope someone out there can help me find some information about this man. All information is good help!

    1. [CGW] Immigration from Germany to Canada 1848 to 1850
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Beltz, Lehrbach Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/7aB.2ACEAE/949 Message Board Post: Any information regarding the German immigration from Hesse Darmstadt to Ontario would be helpful. The Beltz family were in Buffalo, New York in 1850. Family lore has them leaving their home in Germany in 1848. Beacuse attempts to locate their names on ships to United States have been unsuccessful we think they came through Ontario. Margaret (mother) Frederick, John Albert, and William Henry are names we are researching. They were travelling with a Lehrbach family.

    1. [CGW] Canadian Senators.
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Lonsdale Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/7aB.2ACEAE/948 Message Board Post: I live in United Kingdom and am new to this ancestry stuff. I was wondering whether anyone could help me with my search. Apparently three of my ancestors emigrated to Canada. Two (Frederick and George Lonsdale went on to become Senators) and the third was their Sister Edith Lonsdale who went on to marry a French Canadian. Unfortunately I don't have dates but it must have been somewhere around 1900-1950 (give or take a few years). This is all the information that I have on these, except that their father Joseph Blackwell Lonsdale died end of April 1903, and their mother Edith died in November/December 1940. If anyone could help me, maybe lead me in the right direction as to where I could look up this information. These three people would be my Great-Great Auntie and Uncles. This information could well be wrong but it is the only information I have to go on at the moment, if I find out that the information that was given to me by a great uncle is wrong then at least I have tri! ed. Thanks.

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/7aB.2ACEAE/947 Message Board Post: I am searching for the family of my grandfather, John Charles Bamford. He was born sometime during 1900 to 1908. He died around 1943, here in the USA. His mother & sibling(s) were alive at the time of his death. We know little of his family, except that they came from Canada one or two generations before he was born. We believe they settled in Illinois. Originally the family came to Canada from England, but there again, we have no date. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you!

    2. Hi The following is what I think I know : My paternal g-g-g-grandfather, Charles Francois Denis (1763 - 1840) de la Ronde and Thibaudiere was one of the voyagers who removed from Drummond Island to Penetanguishene when the garrison there was closed. During his lifetime he resided in Penetanguishene, Holland Landing & Coldwater. He married Magdeleine Pewadjiwonokwe, an Ojibwa and they had 10 children was a fur trader . At some point , the Indians considered him as one who was dead and would therefore do no business with him. Would appreciate any insight source, etc that might help me expand on this information Thanks Haold Riddell

Mongeau in Springfield, MA, age 58. But unable to find a tn for him. On Intelius (found at bottom of page on Switchboard) I found two listings probably for him again and two other Maurice J, 58 in TN and no age in CT. Intelius is a for fee search agent. You can get all of these listings for $7.95 or look at the other possibilities at top of page. The MA has both tn and address and other two have addresses. Under People Data through AnyWho found birth of TN was June 1945. There are also four Maurice Mongeau listed in Canada, one of these sites and I don't remember which, has those addresses. It is the one that lets you put in states I think and also had the provinces. The Intelius and People Data are searches across the US. Hope this helps you and please let me know if you find him through this info. Charlotte

    1. [CGW] GAREAU,GARROW,GORROW,MONETTE
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: GAREAU,GARROW,GORROW,MONETTE Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/7aB.2ACEAE/944 Message Board Post: It has been awhile since I posted for my Gareau/Monette family information, so for the benefit of any new researchers out there, here is what I am looking for. Since my Gareau family moved so darn much I have had a difficult time finding the birth and parental information on my 3rd great grandfather Joseph,[maybe middle name Louis] Gareau dit Saintonge. All I have had to go on with him is census and children baptismal records. Census records in 1851 St Jerome, Terrebonne give his age as 26. I have not been able to find him in the 1861 anywhere yet. The 1880 census for Ogdensburg, NY gives his age as 57. His death certificate in Ogdensburg gives his age as 75 in 1887, so that leaves a huge span of 1815-1825. He and his wife Louise Monette dit Boismenu, had children in St Jerome, Terrebonne, maybe St Adele,Terrebonne, Curran, Prescott,Ontario, and St Andre Avellin Papineau Co. Baptismal records for their children sometimes lists the surname as Gareau, sometimes St Onge, and one time in Curran, St Ange. Their oldest daughter Delphine married Paul Demers in Ottawa in 1863, they were not present for the marriage, so who knows where they were then ? No baptismal record contains a Gareau family member as Godparent, only acquaintances and members of the Monette family, which by the way they seem to live with on and off everyplace they go to. I have all the information I need on Louises family with the exception of her marriage date and place of course. I have also been working closely with Jean Gareau of the family association and so far we cannot come up with any of the information we need. This Gareau family spend their final years in Ogdensburg, St Lawrence County, NY where the names, through the years become, Garrow, Gorrow and Grow. If you are missing a Gareau family member that you have been searching for, maybe this is the one for you, or if you think you might know something on this family line, they are my ancestors and I would like to be able to get to the beginning of the line. Thank you, also one more thing, I have two web pages with a little more information: www.familytreemaker.com/users/d/e/c/Kristin-M-Decare www.geocities.com/kmjmd/myancestry.html Kristin
