Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/7aB.2ACEAE/980 Message Board Post: I am in search of a John Carmichael & Family What I know from him is from a Marriage Certificate in Scotland when He married my great Grand Mother Christian Margaret Sarah Donald. In January 15 1919 in St Machar Burgh Aberdeen Scotland. It States he was 24 years old. Which meansd he would of been bor about 1895 and was a Farmer. Under Usual Residence it States he is from 10733 ( I Think) 93 W Street Edmonton Canada . Presently With the Canadian Expeditictionary Force. For Parents It States: Samuel Carmichael ( BlackSmith) and Janet Carmichael M.S. McNeilage ( I Think) Hard to read Writing...... Where he signed his name it states he was a Farmer and Under that in brackets it says ( Privite 49th Batt Canadian Infantry, I think the numbers are 101432) . the in Brackets also it stated (Bachelor) . Now I was Always told his family was from Manitoba, but now Iam finding this is wrong since he put Edmonton Canada Down. Now Christina His wife And him Came Back to canada and Live in either Edmonton or Manitoba Where Is Family Was from. They came here either in October 1919- September 1919. On Her Death Certificate it States she was living in Canada for 1 and 1/2 years and only in Ontario for 1/2. She Died in April 14 1921 in Ontario Canada. She Left John Carmichael well she was pregnant. She had a daughter July 18 1920 in Toronto Ontario living with her Sister named Florence Isabella Caarmichael. When She died it has been said John tryed to get costidy but Christian sister would not give her up and Raised her as one of her own. So She left John Carmichael About October of 1921. John Could of re-married in the end of this and have more family. It would be nice to find all information out. My E-mail is FawnsFamilyTree@hotmail.com

    3. HiShannon, If you want to send me the name -etc - I can either photo copy - and send via mail - or send a transcript via e mail. Iam visiting the library tomorrow - Tuesday to complete some other lookups and can include yours. Otherwise: = There are volunteers at the Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness site - who also offer lookups , copies. The other option - is to order same - from the site - The cost would then be $19.00 rather than no cost or just cost of copy usually less than .50cents Cndn. Copy is the same information either way.
