They list the casualties from the wars and cemeteries. Did you check the ArchiviaNet site for Home Children? They have a Thomas White listed age 18 in 1913 who left Liverpool, England 3 June 1913 arrived in Canada 11 June 1913 at Quebec, Canada on ship 'Canada', microfilm T-4798 Reference number RG76 C 1 a. He enlisted in Winnipeg in 1915, aged 19. Doesn't appear in the 1911 Canadian Census. Where can I look for information please? This is my gr gr grandfather who came to Montreal in 1825 - he was part of the Peter Robinson settlers, Peterborough, Ont. He did not go on to Peterborough. He was from Ballyhooley, Fermoy, Cork, Ire. His wife was Eliza Power (s), they married in Ireland. They had a least 4 children. The children below married in Montreal. Denis Doody married Eliza O'Neill - Denis went to Nebraska in the 1870's and later his sons went to California. Denis died in Nebraska and his body was returned to Montreal for burial Ann Doody married John Brown Patrick Doody married Eliza Hory. John Doody's death notice. November 17 1859, Montreal Daily Transcript At. St. Lambert on the 17th inst., Mr. John Doody, later of the City of Montreal, aged 70 years. Friends and acquaintances are requested to attend the funeral, from the Island Wharf, on the arrival of the Steamer Iron Duke on Saturday Morning at half-past 7 o'clock, from thence to the Roman Catholic Cemetery, (Notre Dame des Neiges, Montreal) Sheila, Ontario
