I HAVENT FOUND VALTER IN THE CENSUS. Did he live in Hougton/MI/USA or in BC/Canada? Some years later their nephew joined them: 3. John Olov Johansson Aidanpää b. 20/12 1884 d. 26/12 1912. He died in "North America" According to swedish records. And left two children: John Sigfrid b.24/10 1910 and Lydia Sofia b.10/4 1913 I HAVENT FOUND either of them IN THE CENSUS It is very likely thet they might have changed their surname using Johansson/Johnson or Person. Thanks to everyone who has responded! I should have explained in my request that I was looking for info on Michel's birth - i.e., his parents. Once he gets to the US, I can follow him pretty well. I just can't figure out where he actually came from, other than Canada. Who were his parents? Grandparents? Did he have any other siblings? Where did he meet/marry his wife, Harriet Sova dit Plaunt?
