    3. Hello Jane The marriage you are looking for is not in any of the places you mentioned. If you have reason to suspect a Canadian connection, please tell us what it is and what you already know about Johanna GLEESON and Edward (or John) McCORMI/ACK, then we can see if we can help. Dick Chandler in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jane Sawyer" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, August 22, 2006 2:41 PM Subject: [CGW] Canada marriage Hello All, I am new to your list and hoping someone can help. I would like to know if the "Canada Marriages 1857-1922" is searchable anywhere other than ancestry.ca or worldwide. I am not a subscriber to either one and Family search doesn't have it. I am looking for the marriage of Johanna Gleeson b.1835-8 and Edward(could be John) McCormick/McCormack b.1828. The guessed date is 6/24/1856 or 1857. If I could get the film number, I can order it through the family search. Would appreciate any help available. 3. Hi Jane, Do you happen to know where the marriage may have taken place.. Do you know where Joahanna GLEESOn - and Edward or John McCORMICK/McCORMACK - may have been born? -this might help locate where a marriage may have taken place. * Always a good thing to post surnames of interest in Capital Letters - on the Subject Line. cheers, Stella At 02:41 PM 8/22/2006, you wrote: >Hello All, I am new to your list and hoping someone can help. 3. Hello all, As you probably already know the Rootsweb mailing lists are being moved to a new list management system. Our list has already migrated to the new system. So far there haven't been any major problems that I know of, although I have come across a couple things that will be of interest: 1)You cannot have more than 10 recipients in your messages to the lists. If you are sending a message to multiple lists please keep that in mind. 2)You can only subscribe in one mode per email address. If you were subscribed in *both* list and digest mode prior to migration, when the list migrated you will no longer receive digest mode. You may still subscribe to both but you will need to use two email address. You can always use a free Internet account such as hotmail, yahoo, gmail, etc. Please read below a few items of interest from Rootsweb: The "-L" is being dropped from the "official" list name. This means the "from" address your mailing list emails come from will be slightly different- [email protected] vs. the current [email protected] You may have to adjust your spam filters or put the new address on your "accept" list to prevent it from being caught in your "junk" folder. You will be able to send mail with or without the "-L" AOL users have reported some problems with receiving mail in a timely matter and you can find additional information about this by subscribing to the support group AOLers-RootsWeb Mailing List or simply reading through the list archives. http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/other/RootsWeb_Support/AOLers-RootsWeb.html The schedule and additional information can be found at the following link which is updated as needed: http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/migrate_sched.html If you have any questions or concerns, please email me and I will do my best to answer your questions. 3. Thanks to everyone who has responded! I should have explained in my request that I was looking for info on Michel's birth - i.e., his parents. Once he gets to the US, I can follow him pretty well. I just can't figure out where he actually came from, other than Canada. Who were his parents? Grandparents? Did he have any other siblings? Where did he meet/marry his wife, Harriet Sova dit Plaunt? I tried Google-ing "Mustaw" as a lot of you suggested (I never thought of this), and what I get is alot of middle-eastern stuff? I'll keep working though. Thanks!
