There is an Odilon Boudreau married to a Marie Vienneau but they are not the ones, the dates are not correct. The sara of Odilon and marie Vienneau was born 1853, that would make her twenty years older . So I need to find an Odilon married to a Mary or Marie Legace. in Canada. Thank you

It is very possible - that they walked/drove across a bridge from Canada to the U.S.A. His declaration papers - state that they arrived by Canadian Pacific Vessel. That would have been from ? port in Europe / England. The following lists the Ports of Entry. as well the microfilm # s http://www.collectionscanada.ca/genealogy/022-908.003.02-e.html When did the Family - arrive in Canada - In the U.S.A.? No, I don't have a certificate for Carola's marriage. Also still not sure if Antoine Martin dit Soud was the father or the brother of Solomon Martin. I haven't been able to prove that yet. I do know that Lisette (Louisa, Eloisia, Elisa) was 1/2 Indian though also not sure who her parents were. There were so many misspellings for her name that it's hard to find those records. I do remember getting some information about Beaver Island but a friend who looked up the records there for me couldn't find anything. My records show that the Martins came from "Lacus Superior" which I believe is Green Bay, Wisconsin after arriving from Canada. Have you checked the Wisconsin HIstorical Collection? That's a series of books held in most major libraries. They have a lot of information in them. Just wish I had more time to go back & go through them again. St. Anne Church on Mackinac Island was also selling a CD which has all of their birth/baptism, death and marriage records. I have a copy of that too. Will get back to you as soon as I can upack my boxes from our move. Elaine

Help me if you can. I happened up on my 1/2 sisters grandparents immigration/naturalization papers here in the USA. However... He immigrated from Russia TO Canada and from Ft. Frances Ontario Canada to International Falls Minnesota....his wife's papers etc. say they arrived in the US "by foot" or by "bridge" so it appears they walked across the border but on his Declaration of Intention papers in the line where it says VESSEL they wrote Canadian Pacific Ry. So don't know if that is the "road" or "bridge" or what. Looking for some help. how can I find out WHERE they came into Canada. Most likely - obviously it was Ft. Frances Ontario but looking for like passenger and arrival records like Ellis Island has. Ship information etc. Please email me at [email protected] Thanks.
