Hi. I am also a descendant of Benjamin Bird and Elizabeth Graham. I am their ggggranddaughter. My gggrandfather was their son also named Benjamin. He married Maheley Frances Johnson. Although my notes are not with me, I did get some info about 4 years ago from a gentleman who's wife is a descendant of Benjamin and Elizabeth's daughter Alice. I recall their wedding was at St. George's in Kingston, ON in Dec. 1818. I cannot recall the exact date at the moment. He verified the info as it was a couple of sentences in the local newspaper. Feel free to e-mail me at [email protected] I welcome any info you may have as well. Rather, he was travelling with a Mary Ann Mew, age 52, married, a nurse, also from Kent, bound for her son, Mr. Absalom Mew, 37 Newton Street in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Stanley, aged 20, gives his friend's name, Mr. Edgar Mew, of 84 Newton Street, also of Holyoke, Massachusetts, as his destination. Arthur was bound for his brother, Mr. J. Maskell of Dolsbran House in Haverford, Pennsylvania. I do find a Stanley Smith in the 1906 Canadian census in Saskatchewan, age 23, single, hired man, b.England, emigrated 1903, in the home of John Wood, near the village of Pense, which is just west of the city of Regina. www.automatedgenealogy.com

My gr-gr-gr- grandfather was a Cree Indian chief. He traded away his eldest son (my gr-gr-grandfather) because he didn't want him to become chief later. He was adopted by my family, and given an english name, and lived in the United States unyil his death. In a census, he listed himself as a French Canadian, instead of Indian. So I assume he must be from Quebec. I would like to find his tribe, and hopefully the Cree Chief himself. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike.
