Just a start. What area of Canada are your JACKSON family located.? Your Husbands mother is Carol Margaret JACKSON. Do you know where she was born? You know that Carol Margaret JACKSONS parents were/are Allen JACKSON - and possibly Edith JACKSON. Obtaining Carol's Birth Registration/Long Form Birth Certificate - will show the correct names for the parents - their place of birth etc. Obtain from the Vital Statistics Dept where Carol was born. If Allen and Edith [?] JACKSON are no longer living - Their Death Registrations - will show some personal information - their dates and place of birth. Names of Parents. where parents were born etc. The Obituaries - may give some information about other family members etc - which could lead you to further information. Cheers Stella

Mary Jane Edwards was born 1898 in Northumberland,England, her mother was Sarah Edwards who married a widower,Matthew Strong in 1900. We know that Mary Jane worked as a nanny or childrens nurse for a family that emmigrated to Canada and Mary Jane went with them. She married a man of Danish descent who had also emmigrated, his surname was Lauridsen. Mum has an address for them at Port Hammond,B.C. and she knows they had at least one child,a daughter who they possibly named Audrey after my mum.The daughters married name was Mikota and mum has an address for her as Port Coquitlam,B.C. Mums maiden name was Quenet and Mary Jane used to send parcels of things to them from Canada that were in short supply in England due to the War. As I said, bit of a long shot, but I would dearly love to be able to put my elderly mum in touch with any of her overseas 'lost' family. My mothers name is theresa Morrell born in Coventry, her 9 brothers and sisters were born in Dublin Ireland as were her parents Patrick Joseph Morrell and Mary Elizabeth Morrell formerly Taylor. they moved to Coventry in 1920's but i cant find any trace of them in Ireland as the records were burnt in a massive fire in 1922. I know my grandad (Patrick Morrell) had 15 brothers and sisters and that a few of them went to America, i believe he was born around 1880's as he and my grandmother were married in Dublin in 1915. Love to know where we are from originally, so any info would be appreciated. Take care Marie.
