Hi listers, I do agree with your comments Michael but with one exception. > I really do not know how much difference my opinion will make , < EVERYONE'S opinion counts and that is the only way we can make a difference! :o) I believe that that is the way that most of the laws throughout history have been amended or created in the first place. Since I started my Genealogy, I have seen many of my "distant cousins" travel all over the world to "feel" a part of those before them as well as to access further information personally. As most of my interests are in Newfoundland and all over Canada, I know of many who have travelled the country. Imagine the dollars being spent on all that those trips entails. Not to mention that you have to pay for the little extras like parking! The government is making a fortune on the dollars of people like us and it would only make sense that they let the Census become available. The posts recently from Muriel and the "voices" in Parliament have struck a core in my soul. Why they would not want their descendants to know of their contributions to the country certainly makes you think. Skeletons in the closet perhaps? Obviously, those opposed have not looked at the number of websites generated through this wonderful hobby. The information through fellow searchers, Professional searchers, Companies and yes, even the Provinces of Canada. They appear blinded in my opinion! I normally sit back without saying much and this time I decided to send my opinion and agree with you and others fighting for our cause! Good day to all, Lori-Ann larc@buckeye-express.com
