To all:- This afternoon, Bruce Phillips was being asked questions by a Senate committee -- it was all about Privacy, plus Statistics and Information Acts ----PLUS the fact Mr. Phillips will be leaving as Privacy Commissioner. I missed the first part of the talk on CPAC (Canadian Public Affairs Channel) but many spoke. Senator Lorna Milne was in her usual "fighting for us" mood, and there was discussion re census, length of time periods, dead or alive, and release of personal data. I will be in contact with Dr. Pamela White, Secretary of Expert Panel, and will ask where to locate wording of their report. These have been a bad few weeks with much concern re Hon. Jane Stewart and her huge databank about us. As soon as Gordon Watts or I find something, we will pass it on. Muriel <davidson3542@home.com>
