To all who sign petitions:- To find PETITIONS: <http://www.globalgenealogy.com/census/petition.htm> When you reach this site, the long list of available PETITIONS, in both languages, seems like a restaurant menu. Canadian Petitions are in both languages, French and English, and may be used only in the House of Commons. These are to be mailed to Gordon Watts, come in three different flavours: Word, WordPerfect and Text (from Gordon Watts). There is also a Canadian Petition for usage in the Senate. Non-Canadian Petitions are also in Word, WordPerfect and Text, may ONLY be used in the Senate. Mailing addresses, mine and Gordon's, are on petitions. A WORD OF CAUTION: Several petitions have been received that may not pass scrutineers. They are very PICKY (the only descriptive word I know) and if a bit of paperwork is not correct, they find the nearest File 13!! The Petitions ask one to PRINT the name, then write it, followed by address. Let's get these signed the right way -- I hope to pick up at least 100 signatures at a Sweet Adelines reunion this week!!
