To all listers:- It is nice to receive letters from the politicians to whom I have written, but I sincerely wish SOMEONE in the Liberal Party would write a new memo for reply -- I have now received No. 33 of the same letter, with only a different signature. This letter was signed personally by Raymond Chan -- and as usual a copy was forwarded to John Manley, "Minister Responsible for Statistics Canada". What do we believe in the statement: "Minister Responsible for Statistics Canada" To date, the Report of the Expert Panel has been kept from us - WHY? Was the Report kept from residents because of the content??? To date, the Liberal Government COULD HAVE taken either Senator Lorna Milne's S-15 or Murray Calder's C-484, and made it a government bill, votable -- and it would have passed. Please pass the word the Canada Census Committee members would like not only the 1911 census to be available, but would like to get back to personal research projects. The members of the Liberal Party have not cared about Home Children and many other family searches unable to be concluded due to lack of the 1911 census records. To top it off, the Prime Minister and Governor-General are celebrating my birthday -- in a very unnecessary move, one that will cost about $200 million -- (some of the surplus?). I do not need that type of present!! Muriel M. Davidson <davidson3542@home.com> Canada Census Committee
