    3. >>>>>>> MAY BE FORWARDED OR TRANSLATED <<<<<< To all:- As we are poised on the brink of an unnecessary election, costing the Canadian taxpayers about $200 million, there are so many necessary things the present elected Members of Parliament could have done. - The Report of the Expert Panel was finished, except for translation, in April, 2000, was given to John Manley June 30, 2000 -- one month later than intimated due date. - Manley found his specs and started reading in August, 2000 -- he must be classed as a "slow reader" as the Report has yet to be given or published on Statcan site. Not even available with ATI. - Jason Kenney had Motion M-160, which may not have accomplished very much -- BUT Mac Harb moved an amendment which counter- balanced any good Jason's M-160 might have done. - There could have been a government Bill -- either S-15 after Second Reading or C-484 after First Reading -- both by Liberal Party members. The government bill could have been fast-tracked in three days!!! - Now we have BRIAN TOBIN, already appointed to take over John Manley's work with census -- will he be elected in Newfoundland? If anyone has his e-mail address, I will contact him. Should we decide for whom family historians should vote? DEFINITELY! Check:- http://www.globalgenealogy.com/census/index6.htm We presume the Member of Parliament's thoughts re census will remain JEAN CHRETIEN - Liberal -- a Quebec riding -- still FENCE-SITTING!! STOCKWELL DAY - Canadian Alliance -- Supports Census Release ALEXA McDONOUGH - NDP -- Supports Census Release JOE CLARK - PC - Has not answered any letters, except by his secretary GILLES DUCEPPE -- Bloc -- Another Blue ??? No Answer person. BRIAN TOBIN -- Unelected -- No Party Affiliation Known -- Support ???? Rather than "prostitution in Brazil" as reported in today's National Post, I feel the election could be won by support of post-1901 census release. Comments, please!!! Muriel M.
