    3. To all:- I have sent several letters and e-mails to Jim Pankiw - NO REPLY. The residents of Saskatchewan must remember THEIR 1906 census should have been released in 1998 -- the first Canadian one! Should anyone receive a reply, please forward to me, Muriel M. Davidson <davidson3542@home.com Canada Census Committee http://www.globalgenealogy.com/census/index6.htm ------------------------------ Hi Muriel: Do you know anyone in JIM PANKIW's Humboldt Constituency (Sask.) who might follow up this matter? My prodding from the West Coast has been negative. Perhaps by posting this item, someone might pick it up? Mel R. Andress. -----Original Message----- From: Fraser Valley MP Chuck Strahl [mailto:mp@chuckstrahl.com] Sent: 09/01/ 2000 5:14 PM To: Melville R. Andress Subject: Re: RE:Alliance M.P.'s Deafening Silence. Greetings Melville, Thanks for your note. My office contacted Jim Pankiw's office and, as I suspected, the reason for not responding was geography. Because of the volume of correspondence in an MPs office, many Members make it a policy to respond only to constituents on political position matters, and refer case work to the appropriate MPs. I might suggest that the best way to solicit a response from MPs who have yet to contact you would be to have a local person contact them on behalf of your organization. Sincerely, Chuck Strahl, Fraser Valley MP ----- Original Message ----- From: Melville R. Dear Chuck: Maybe one good turn deserves another? The purpose of this letter to you is to enlist your aid in promoting a response from M.P.'s like JIM PANKIW as their feeling in regard to support for the Post 1901 Census release Statistics to the Public. This gentleman is one of many members of your Party who ignore requests for their definitive stand on this important matter. Surely the time has long passed of a 'comfort zone' for fence sitters? I will wait for your reply. Sincerely, Mel R. Andress #110- 33110 Nelson Avenue, Abbotsford, B.C.V2S 2L5. > >
