    3. Copy of Letter sent to Peter Adams, MP:- Dear Peter, Just went into a web site that listed all MPs who responded to the question: "Would you, as an elected Member of the House of Commons of the Parliament of Canada, vote FOR or AGAINST a Bill supporting release to the Public, of Post 1901 Census Records, 92 years after they were recorded. ( 1911 census information available in 2003, 1921 in 2013 etc)" and saw your name, at the head of the list, indicating a yes response. http://www.globalgenealogy.com/census/index6.htm I've had tremendous fun for the past ten or so years researching my various families across Canada, the US and countries abroad, and find the Canadian Census returns to be a great springboard upon which to begin my research (particularly the 1871 one which has all the schedules intact for most areas). Hopefully the 1911 census will be released with its files intact as well. Not only is the census a great research tool for genealogists, it can form a basis for lots of other studies. For example, I thoroughly enjoy comparing the agricultural returns of various areas in the 1800s, and in some of the census returns, one can determine the type of home in which the families recorded lived. The census returns are also used by the United Empire Loyalists' Association of Canada to assist people obtain their certification as direct descendants of their Loyalist ancestors. I'm currently the first vice president of our Kawartha Branch and am looking forward to becoming their president for a two year term in February. On a more personal note, thanks for coming and greeting our youngest daughter, Mary, this past summer when she was dancing at the opening of the walkway. It made Mary's day !!!
