To Stockwell Day, MP:- I was very pleased to see you voting against the amendment to Jason Kenney's Motion M-160. The amendment was a deliberate PLANT by the Liberal Party -- it minimized the full impact of Jason's motion. Then, to top it off, the actual Motion was CARRIED ON DIVISION. I agree with John Nunziata -- was it correct? Mr. Day, I am only one of over 7.5 million known family researchers across Canada -- then we add to these the unknown ones, many who are only searching for one missing name or link. One major item that Mr. Chretien forgets -- we are VOTERS!!! Since this volunteer group, Canada Census Committee, was formed March 1999, we have made ourselves and cause known to many. Many do not believe this -- we are fighting for a right that should be given freely to citizens -- many need to know "who they really are". I refer to children brought from England classed as "Home Children", and today the children and grandchildren are attempting to learn their heritage. Often surnames were changed, making it difficult. Residents of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba have never had a Canadian census -- the provinces became part of Canada in 1905, and the 1906 census should have been released in 1998. I know the Liberal Party will never back post-1901 census release, but will the Canadian Alliance? Do we all have to wait until John Manley stops sitting on the Report of The Expert Panel -- who dares to request it? I cannot - I am not elected. Check over the answers from many of the CA party, Ken Epps was wonderful, Monte Solberg basically said YES -- click on the name of the person (left side), scroll down and you will find the message. Often there has to be a leader -- it will not be Chretien, I know. We are appealing to you to lead the way, and above all, get Joe Clark hooked up to internet!! We also want him to answer us.
