    3. Many thanks, Joyce, for sending the following. Prior to May 1, 2000, a number of us submitted "Genetically Inherited Diseases" to the Expert Panel -- all contributors had either the inherited diseases or were professors. In my submission, I included a recommendation the Expert Panel put forth their recommendation to add a question to the 2001 census, asking if there were genetically inherited diseases in the family. To date, no report has been given -- we do not know if this has been even looked at, with a view to future health. With a number of diseases in my personal family, I have always felt if we know the odds, we can lick them! Muriel M.
