Dear Mr. Paul, You should be aware that because of a crash in the Rootsweb site hosting the Canada Census Committee information, many of us have just recently had a chance to examine the proposed Bill S-18. While researchers across Canada appreciate the efforts of Senator Milne and others to make the censuses accessible, not all of us want to see it done at the cost of introducing restrictions that will create a nightmare for future generations of researchers. I am working on more detailed comments on this Bill, but a delay in its passage to allow for sober second thought does not seem to be a bad idea.
