If the major problem getting the census released is Dr Ivan P. Fellegi, why not go to the source..... how can he be fired?? I am sure that he has not been elected for life, has he? I haven't kept up with the politics of Canada for a while, as I was living in the southern part of the US.... and as you know, no news travels that far south. I am now closer, but have a lot of catching up to do. All I know, is that if I don't do my job to the company's satisfaction, I don't work there anymore. Can he not be replaced??? I have been researching my family for awhile now, and hit the brick wall while waiting for 1911 reports. So I do have an interest in the release of those records. Just want to know why no one has gone after Fellegi. Lorraine
As I understand it, our problem now goes well beyond Dr. Fellegi and into the federal Cabinet. This is election night in Canada. The Liberals will form the next government, albeit with less than a majority. We can hope that some of our misguided political opponents lost their seats and/or their cabinet positions.
