Ever Wonder Who Your Ancestor's Were? Have you had health problems, but no family history? Many Canadians, about 7 1/2 million of them, have been trying to find their Heritage. They're hopes have been squashed by the reluctance of our Government to open the Census files, which should, by law, have been opened 92 years after the records were recorded. All Canadians have been deprived of this resource, because of one man, the Dr. Fellegi, Statistician. By law, these records should have been released long ago, but he refuses to turn them over to the National Archives. Dr. Fellegi is an appointed officer, not elected, and only retains his post because the government has put this "little" problem on the backburner, and has refused to deal with it. We, as citizen's have a right to this information. Now that we have told the government that we do have a voice, let's tell them to get off their backsides, and do the right thing. Join the fight to get these records opened. Go to http://globalgenealogy.com/Census to find out how you can help. Bonnie Weber, Oakville, Ontario, Canada 29 June 2004
