Roz & Others: When the bill is passed, the section that allows research without 3rd party approval will become 17(4)(a) of the Statistics Act. For those reading along, 17(4)(a) gives explicit approval for genealogical research. The requirement for 3rd party approval is only contained in 17(4)(b) which deals with historical research.
