Good Morning Gwen, The Census Campaign - is a group of people working together , with hopes of having the various census released in their due time. The effort started with the 1901 Census. - For some ,well before the committee was formed - or even considered. You Do Not Need - the persons in the Census Campaign - Census Committee to agree - or disagree. This is a personal choice. You are free to write to whoever you wish. It would be interesting to the Committee - to know if and what sort of response you receive. but writing the letter is entirely Your Choice. *Do you know where your father was born? Was he adopted etc.? Have you [ or your father] attempted to obtain a birth registration - Long Form Certificate. {some of the early certificates do not have much information - some only showing the name of the person registering the birth - and may not be a birth parent - but physician, grandparent etc.] *Registration of All Canadians over the age of 16 years - early 1940's This information is available - the cost aprox $48.15 - returned if no information found. Wishing you much luck, whatever you decide. Cheers, Stella At 02:49 PM 8/6/04 -0300, Gwen & Peter Christie wrote: >:Hi Martin: I need to see it badly as well.
